Mission

The Combined Arms Center –Training drives change in how the Army trains and prepares to conduct Large Scale Combat Operations to support Army 2030 requirements.CAC-T enables realistic and scalable training capabilities at Combat Training Centers and home station, disseminates lessons learned and best practices, identifies and validates training gaps and requirements, serves as the Army Training Proponent, and manages the training support system enterprise in order to improve Army readiness and develop the professional Leaders and Soldiers required to fight and win our nation’s wars.

Wherever Army training and leader development occur, the Combined Arms Center-Training helps make them happen. The six organizations that make up CAC-T work every day to keep training modern, relevant and realistic so Soldiers are ready.

Working Together

Combined Arms Center-Training has six subordinate organizations.

Our Team

  • The Army Training Support Center (ATSC) is a dynamic organization with a vast and varied mission. It is responsible for managing the Army Training Support Enterprise (TSE), providing oversight for many programs that enable the development, delivery and sustainment of training and education (T&E) support capabilities worldwide.

    With a staff of more than 400 Soldiers, civilians and contractors, ATSC works closely with many partners, stakeholders and customers to ensure the Army has the T&E support capabilities it needs to accomplish its mission.

    ATSC is located at Fort Eustis, VA.

    Army Training Support Center (ATSC) | US Army Combined Arms Center

  • The Center for Army Lessons Learned leads the Army Lessons Learned Program and delivers timely and relevant information to resolve gaps, enhance readiness, and inform modernization.

    The Center for Army Lessons Learned is the Army's daily focal point for adaptive learning based on lessons and best practices from the total force and provides timely and relevant knowledge to the warfighter and our unified action partners utilizing integrated systems and interactive technology in order to simplify winning in a complex world.

  • Combat Training Center Directorate (CTCD) facilitates the validation, administration and integration of the Army’s Combat Training Center (CTC) program and its three maneuver CTCs (National Training Center, Joint Readiness Training Center and the Joint Multinational Readiness Center) and Mission Command Training Program worldwide deployable CTC.

    Additionally, CTCD is responsible for ensuring CTC program requirements and modernization are linked to a viable resourcing strategy and CTC vision for the future. CTCD assists in programming and integrating DOD Training Transformation (that is, Joint National Training Capability) initiatives into the CTC program.

    Combat Training Center Directorate (CTCD) | US Army Combined Arms Center

  • Mission Command Training Program supports the collective training of Army units as directed by the Chief of Staff of the Army and scheduled by Forces Command to provide Commanders and Leaders the opportunity to train on Mission Command in Unified Land Operations.

    Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) | US Army Combined Arms Center

  • We exist to ensure that the Army has the right live and synthetic training tools to train Leaders and Soldiers to fight and win in a complex environment.

    National Simulation Center (NSC) | US Army Combined Arms Center

  • As the Army lead and proponent for training management, TMD manages, develops and sustains Training Management doctrine, processes, products and systems to enable institutions and units to train, educate and develop Soldiers and Army Civilians across the Institutional, Operational and Self Development Training Domains in support of Army readiness to execute Unified Land Operations.
